Sparking Passions, Changing Lives

The Marian Mechanics, a Delaware robotics team, partnered with Hagley to launch our Hagley FIRST Spark Hub, a shared space for robotics and design. Students meet weekly at the Power Plant to build robots for competitions and explore STEAM opportunities. The space also hosts events to inspire the Wilmington community in interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. 

The Hagley FIRST Spark Hub offers a welcoming and accessible space for teams to collaborate, design, and test ideas. The space supports FIRST teams at all levels, from FLL Explore and FLL Challenge through FTC, and provides a beautiful setting for hands-on learning, teamwork, and creativity. Additional resources, including mentoring, tools, and parts, are available to teams through our partner location at the Iron Hill Science Center, allowing us to fully support students’ robotics journey across both spaces.
